It’s the last day of VMworld 2012, the exhibition floor has been shut down and vendors are now heading out of town, hung-over from the Jon Bon Jovi concert. A trusted source of mine informed me that Bon Jovi didn’t even play “Living on a Prayer.” Most of the Vision Solutions team took a flight back home this morning, leaving Justin Marvel and I to gather the last tidbits of knowledge and technical information at the keynote and sessions.

What a great VMworld event this year in the spectacular city of San Francisco. The weather, the surroundings, the show, and the content all could not have been better.

It is another great day at VMworld! I'm happy to have brought the SoCal weather to San Francisco with me. I started the day with a great trek to Coit Tower, where there are views of the surrounding city, the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz that are just beautiful.

As VMWorld begins it’s clear the velocity at which virtualization is moving forward is creating momentum for Cloud technologies as well. As far as Cloud deployments are concerned — we've gone from buzz to brass-tacks. Companies are now seeing beyond the obvious financial benefits of Cloud-enabled datacenter consolidations.
